The Space Discovery set features one digital module which has been developed and manufactured in-house in Halda’s factory just outside of Stockholm, Sweden. The digital module offers an array of functions that are helpful both in space and on earth, and the watch is Halda’s first release since the brand’s relaunch, after having been founded in 1887.

Mechanical module

The Space Discovery set comes with a mechanical automatic module, featuring a NOS (New old stock movement) which has been renovated and modernized by Mr. Svend Andersen. The mechanical module beats at 5hz, unlike most mechanical movements which beat at 4hz. This allows the movement to become more accurate. The new old stock movement has been modernized and improved by the skilled watchmaker Svend Andersen – a recognized and praised watchmaker in the watch industry. The New Old Stock (NOS) movement inside the modern Halda is an automatic high-performance mechanical movement.

The movement beats at 36,000 BPH, and has 25 jewels and a power reserve of about 43 hours. The mechanical module has a see-through caseback with a crystal that creates a magnifying effect, allowing you to adore the complex piece of craftsmanship inside the Halda timepiece.
