Panerai Warranty: Guide to Panerai Eight-Year Extended Warranty

How does the Panerai warranty works? What does it cover and how long is the warranty of Panerai watches?

In this complete guide, we will go into detail about everything you need to know about the Panerai warranty.

Panerai eight-year Warranty

Panerai announced that it has extended its manufacturer’s warranty on all watches to eight years, which brings the brand up to par with some of the best brands in the world. The industry standard for warranty is two years, but to make the brand more competitive on the market, and to show that the brand stands proudly behind its watches, Panerai now offers an eight-year warranty for all its watches.

Panerai called it Pam.Guard Program. The name derives from the fact that the reference number of Panerai watches begins with the letters PAM.

The PAM-Guard program of eight years of warranty applies to watches sold two years from November 26, which is when Panerai officially launched the program.

In order to enjoy the eight-year warranty, you must register your watch in their program online. When you register your watch, you will, in some cases, be sent invitations, newsletters, and gifts. You can access the Pam.Guard program online with most devices.

The CEO of Panerai Jean-Marc Pontroué stated after presenting the news of the extended warranty that the new commitment “was made possible by the very high level of technical efficiency and reliability achieved by watches produced by the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel”.

Furthermore, the CEO said the initiative represented a “proactive form of engagement with consumers and at the same time a way to strengthen the sense of belonging to the Panerai community”. “With this long-term vision, extending the international limited warranty up to eight years is a natural, virtually inevitable step.

The Pam.Guard interface is accessible through multiple devices and formats, and can also be activated at Panerai and authorized retailers’ boutiques.

Note that you must apply for the extended warranty, and it is not always that it is approved for various reasons. Primarily if your watch is not eligible for an extended warranty, for example, if it is too old. You apply for the extended warranty at services.panerai.com. In order to enjoy the warranty, you must allow Panerai to use your personal information to receive communications from Panerai about products or services. This is obviously an effective way for Panerai to build customer relationships and connect with its customers directly rather than via its official retailers.

To learn how Panerai handles your personal information, you can have a look at the Panerai Privacy Policy. You can, of course, opt out of this at any time thereafter.

The standard Panerai warranty is two years, but if your watch is successfully approved after the application of a warranty extension under the Panerai Pam.Guard program, your Panerai will be able to enjoy an extended Panerai International Limited Warranty for a maximum of 6 years.

Panerai highlights that under no circumstances can the Panerai International Limited Warranty cannot exceed 8 years.

NOTE:

The warranty is connected to the watch and not a person. The warranty follows the watch and not the owner, and therefore, it does not matter if you are the original buyer of the watch. Keep in mind that the PAM.guard program warranty extension is done through a personal account, and this is registered to the account of the creator.

Panerai states that participation in the Panerai Pam.Guard program may not be sold, transferred or assigned to, or shared with, anyone else. If you are not able to provide the requested documentation, Panerai may deny your application. The most important part, however, is always that you have the original warranty card.

You can check the expiry date of the Panerai International Limited Warranty by consulting your watch profile in your Panerai customer account online, or, if you prefer, you can call a Panerai call center.
