A rare opportunity to acquire a classic and timeless Rolex Oyster Date reference 1500 in superb condition and with most of its original accessories, making it particularly collectible.

The watch comes complete with original hangtags, certificate, timekeeping record papers, and the original outer cardboard box. The watch does not have the original box. The watch was fully serviced in 2022 and comes with a Rolex service card. Whilst the Rolex Oyster Date 1500 is a relatively common model, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find one in this condition and most importantly, accompanied by all of the original accessories except the box. This watch is accompanied by its original timekeeping test paper from Bureaux Suisses De Contrôle officiel de la marche des chronomètres, the red hangtag and additional Swimpruf tag, calendar from 1964/1965, as well as a few additional accessories. The chronometer certification paper has been filled out by hand and the original certificate is not filled out.

The watch is powered by the caliber 1570 which is a movement that has become a highly regarded and appreciated movement, used in countless references and models from Rolex. The Rolex caliber 1570 is the third generation of the 1500 series and beats at a frequency of 19,800 BPH. The movement is equipped with a free-sprung, self-compensating Breguet hairspring. The caliber 1570 which is used in the Oyster Perpetual Date 1500 is a certified chronometer. The case and movement are developed to have antimagnetic characteristics, and the movement built to offer resistance to shocks. The watch is presented on a NOS 78350 Oyster bracelet with full stickers.

The watch has a striking and classic tritium sunburst dial. The original dauphine hands are included with this watch.
