Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5165A-001 2007 Box + Certificate
Patek Philippe 5165A-001 with box and certificate dated 2007. The watch is pre-owned but in excellent condition. This particular model is not your ordinary Aquanaut. In fact, it features the Cal. 315 and is a transitional model with a limited production, thus making it highly sought-after by collectors. Most 5165A models use the 324 SC calibre, but for a short period of time, Patek used the Cal.315.
In 2007, Patek redesigned the Aquanaut range under the direction of Thierry Stern. The 5167 then went from using the caliber 315 to using the same movement as the 5711, caliber 324 SC. This watch has the sweet spot size of 38mm, making it larger than its predecessor and smaller than its successor the 5167.
though retains the original 38mm ‘Jumbo’ case diameter, seen in the ref. 5065. This example was sold on 12th July, 2012.
